Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce

The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce is a 1500+ membership organization that leads, informs, advocates and advances business interests for members. Overall, the Chamber promotes a healthy community and a growing economy. This Chamber is also recognized as the largest in the state of Minnesota.

How they can help:

  • The Chamber hosts between 10-20 events each month. Networking opportunities vary in size, format, subject matter and venu. Events include but are not limited to: monthly round tables, speed networking, Business after hours and AM Espresso.

  • Marketing opportunities are offered through the Chamber magazine, website, e-newsletter and ribbon cuttings.

  • Sponsorship support is available and contributes towards supporting the professional development and educational resource opportunities for members.

  • Public advocacy efforts facilitate access to local, state, and federal government officials, helping members connect and engage in the economic and governmental issues they are facing.

  • Professional development groups and organizations within the chamber focus on diversity in business, leadership and women in leadership & development.

  • Workforce development efforts help connect employers with local talent.


Christian Business Leaders (CBL)

Christian Business Leaders (CBL) was formed in late 2011 as men and women began meeting to talk about how they could develop a marketplace ministry in Rochester. This organization connects believers and provides venues where members gather for encouragement and growth. CBL also focuses on reaching out and making an impact in the community for the glory of God.

How they can help:

  • Monthly luncheons offering inspiration, fellowship and guest speakers.

  • Small group opportunities for business men & women to study the word of God in the marketplace. These small group Bible studies serve as a place to meet and encourage other believers in faith.

  • Social Events such as CBL’s summer picnic, fall bonfire, and winter social promote honor and help to build relationships throughout the year.

  • Annual events like the Annual Leadership Summit and Annual Clergy Appreciation Luncheon are organized to build community awareness and strengthen relationships that support God’s Kingdom in our community.


Rochester Area Builders

Rochester Area Builders, Inc, chartered in 1953, is a professional organization of commercial & residential builders, remodelers, developers, and associated businesses dedicated to advancing the building industry in Southeast Minnesota.

How they can help:

  • Monthly evening meetings that offer timely programs with issues of interest and the chance to network with other members.

  • Educational programs, accredited for Builder/Remodeler and occasionally Realtor licensing, are offered at a lower cost for members.

  • Become actively involved in RAB decision making by participating in one of their various committees.

  • Members receive a full membership in the National Association of Home Builders and the Builders Association of Minnesota. These memberships provide legislative representation in what is happening at the local and national level in the building industry.

  • Potential customer referrals from Rochester Area Builders' advertising, public relations, and special events.

  • Professional and social environments, such as the golf outing, are available for networking with other members.

  • Opportunities to advertise in publications like the monthly newsletter, the directory, and the events booklet.


BNI

BNI, a membership based international networking organization, provides a structured and supportive system of giving and receiving business. This organization’s structure offers an environment where members can learn and develop networking skills and establish personal relationships with dozens of other qualified business professionals. BNI Minnesota & Northern Wisconsin has 3,200+ members that meet weekly across 157 chapters. In 2015, members generated over 172,000 referrals, resulting in more than $130 million in closed business.

How they can help:

  • Business generation - helping members reach financial goals faster with business referrals.

  • Teamwork and energy - working with fellow members to build a supportive network and resource for each member’s business.

  • Relationships - provided with the opportunity to develop long-lasting, trustworthy relationships.

Master Networks

Master Networks is a national networking organization, that is made up of local chapters across the United States. There are a number of local chapters in Rochester made up of like minded business people. Chapters meet weekly with a focus on increasing business through word of mouth referrals and personal growth.

  • Chapter meetings are high-energy, interactive, and one hour a week.

  • An online resource center is available for members.
